Production Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

WyoRadio, home of local radio stations, KQSW, KMRZ, KSIT and KRKK and Wyo4News has an immediate opening for a Production Assistant to add to our busy staff!

This is a regular, full-time position.  A Competitive benefits package including vacation, holiday pay, sick time, health, dental, vision and AFLAC are also offered. 

 

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Production Assistant, you will work with the sales staff to produce, or assist in the production of, video, digital static ads, and radio ads through videography, video/audio editing, and writing.  Assist with writing, copying, pasting of stories and news articles for Wyo4News and social media. 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Film or video production experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Word and Excel required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
Knowledge of basic office equipment, and computer skills
Must own motor vehicle to be able to visit clients to shoot video
Must maintain a current drivers license and insurance on vehicle
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
Must be creative and organized
Attention to detail is a must and advertising copy and scripts must be correct purveying the proper message

JOB DESCRIPTION:

WyoRadio, home of local radio stations, KQSW, KMRZ, KSIT and KRKK has an immediate opening for a News Reporter to add to our busy news staff!

This is a regular, full-time position that is paid an hourly rate.  A Competitive benefits package including vacation, holiday pay, sick time, health, dental, vision and AFLAC are also offered. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a News Reporter you will write articles and features for Wyo4News and transfer to WyoRadio platforms.  You will also be responsible for producing the stations on-line news presence through the WyoRadios website and social media accounts and enhance and maintain stations on-air news/information presence.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors in Journalism or related field preferred.
2-3 years’ experience in on-air presentation preferred. 
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; including:  Photoshop, Light room, In-Design and Dreamworks.
Knowledge of Adobe Audition preferred.
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Office Suite preferred.

Media Marketing Specialist

This is a regular, full-time position that is paid a base salary plus potential for bonus. A Competitive benefits package including vacation, holiday pay, sick time, health, dental, vision and AFLAC are also offered. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Media Marketing Specialist, you will sell advertising air time on all four WyoRadio Stations and our internet pages for Face Book, our webpage and Wyo4News to new and existing clients by contacting potential and existing customers regarding their advertising needs.  You will also be required to write scripts for ads, production orders, sales proposals and contracts as well as collect accounts receivables generated by your client’s advertising orders.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
One to three years of sales experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Word and Excel required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KGWN-TV is currently looking for an individual to join our sales team in Cheyenne, WY.  As the dominant media company in the area, we have tremendous advertising products-both on-air and online.  Were seeking a hard-working, well-organized and high energy candidate with great people skills. 

 

The successful candidate will generate revenue by selling advertising to local businesses on the stations multi-platforms and increase shares on existing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assess the market and potential of prospective accounts and meet with local businesses to learn about their marketing needs.

2. Responsible for implementing the company’s advertising platforms and marketing strategy, identifying and qualifying leads while consistently closing business in order to meet or exceed their sales quota.

3. Accurately, and on a timely basis, document sales and customer service activities, and process appropriate paperwork.

4. Outstanding verbal and written communication, organizational and negotiation skills.

5. Compliance with all company, station, and governmental regulations is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, 2-4 years of outside sales experience preferred.

Must have excellent driving record and reliable transportation, ability to move freely around sales territory  KGWN-TV / Gray Media Group, Inc. participates in E-Verify, is a drug-free company and requires pre-employment drug testing. Director of Engineering/IT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Live, work and play in the West!  If you love the outdoors and like being your own boss, this may be the career for you!  We are a 16 station company looking for a radio broadcast engineer that is also IT capable.  You will handle the operation and maintenance of studios and transmitter sites.  Must be willing to travel to remote locations in Wyoming and South Dakota.  Knowledge of the use and repair of both analog and digital equipment preferred.  This position is responsible for the deployment, monitoring, maintenance and repair of broadcast radio equipment as well as broadcast IT computer and data network assets.  Excellent salary and benefits package.  We are an EOE.
