News Multimedia Writer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The digital arm of our Media Company is seeking a Bilingual Copywriter. In this role, the ideal candidate will write and edit copy as well as develop culturally relevant concepts for the US Hispanic market in both Spanish and English.  The ideal candidate will have experience as a copywriter in an advertising agency setting or creative department.  Additionally, the Copywriter shall be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, create a range of concepts for each project, be self-motivated, energetic and detail oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Requirements/Qualifications:  Candidates should be able to fit into an environment of experienced professionals with positive attitudes and effective communications skills.  The ability to meet deadlines is required.  He/she will work as part of a team and have proven proofreading and copy editing skills as well as the desire to stay current with the latest trends and content marketing approaches.  A thorough understanding of the Hispanic culture in the US is also required.  He/she will be responsible for the conception and execution of copy for web and digital initiatives (emails, landing pages, web sites), multimedia (scripts, presentations), print advertising (ads, cover wraps, brochures, inserts), brochures, press releases, and or direct mail (letters, mailers, postcards) on a host of brands with various target consumer audiences.  This is a great opportunity for a candidate to develop their career path and gain insight into all areas of advertising in a fast paced environment.  Must be punctual, dependable, and have excellent communication skills.  Also, have the technical capability and ability to work independently. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements:
This is a full time position, actual hours and schedule may vary, reports directly to the News Director.  Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience writing copy at an ad agency or a creative department. Must be fluent in English and Spanish, have knowledge of Hispanic culture in the US, possess copy-editing/proofreading skills, experience in digital is a plus, self motivated and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.

Entravision El Paso is looking for a Receptionist to provide support to staff and other departments as needed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but not limited to, answering busy switchboard and transferring calls to the appropriate dept. Meet & greet clients, vendors, and office visitors. Perform general clerical duties, tracking incoming/outgoing packages. Assists in maintaining a professional and organized office setting.

Multi Media Journalist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KINT-TV Univision 26 in El Paso, Texas is searching for a Multi Media Journalist.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include advanced editing skills since the candidate will be editing some of the newscasts.  Gather information, conduct interviews, shoot video, produce, report and edit assigned stories daily.  Post video, pictures, and stories to website, Facebook, and other social media outlets.  Must be well versed on local, national, and international entertainment news and issues of the day.  Establish and preserve news contacts in the community.  Participate in community related events organized by the station.  Promote and deliver positive work atmosphere by means of professional manners, mutual respect, and clear communication with supervisors, peers, employees, community representatives and audience.  Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Job Requirements/Qualifications:  Two to five years experience as a video journalist.  Must be able to interpret and translate from English to accurate Spanish.  Strong computer skills and knowledge of computer based video recording equipment and editing principles is required.  Functional to advanced knowledge in the use of field cameras, gear and editing systems.  Effective news writing ability for all platforms. 

Requirements:
Proficient in newsroom computer systems and applications.  Story telling ability, strong journalistic standards and ethics.  Strong organization and motivational skills.  Ability to perform well under pressure, manage breaking news situations, meet strict deadlines, and respond quickly to changes.  Flexible to work any assigned shift, including overnights, evenings and weekends.  Possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills.  Able to identify problems and develop solutions.  Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.  Excellent grammatically accurate Spanish language skills – both written and oral required.  Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
