This is a full time position that focuses on growing existing business and developing new business by utilizing the radio and digital assets of our five (5) Nashville properties. Today’s modern media landscape demands a candidate who is eager to master and sell innovative marketing solutions.  Experience maneuvering that landscape is required.

 

Salary:  Guarantee- Draw Commission Structure.

Must Haves include: Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills, problem solving ability, creativity, computer literacy, and a complete understanding of client revenue maximization.

The ideal candidate has at least two (2) years of successful, documented experience in outside media sales (preferably radio), a degree in Communications/Marketing (or an associated field), and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Periodic client entertainment is required.

Reports to: General Manager

Summary: The ideal candidate will work closely with all departments helping to facilitate the work flow and information between departments.

If position is offered, candidate needs to be a leader within the organization and the community and follow all company guidelines as outlined in our employee handbook.

This is a full-time position and immediate opening in our Nashville location.  Comprehensive Benefits Plan offered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be responsible for many tasks, including – but not limited to the following:

  • Work with all departments to accomplish client needs and desires, while maintaining company objectives.
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering office supplies as needed
  • Participate in weekly meetings, taking notes & distributing as needed.
  • Research and prepare presentations for sales.
  • Filing & order entry

REQUIREMENTS:

News Producer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sinclair Broadcast Group/Chattanooga has an immediate opening for a creative News Producer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day production of our newscasts. This position will work closely with newsroom managers on the newscast and its content. You will determine the content and flow of newscasts, work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories, and develop content for our web site.

REQUIREMENTS:

Skills: 

  • Possess solid news judgment
  • Be a compelling and accurate writer
  • Ability to multitask and manage time in order to put together an exciting and informative newscast
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Must have strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
  • Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
  • Proficiency with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews

Experience and Education:

  • At least one year of experience producing newscasts at a commercial TV station, or equivalent
  • A degree in journalism is preferred
