RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Developing new clients, making sales presentations and collects account balances from clients. Writing proposals, contracts and copy. Participating with and/or developing on-going promotions. Providing follow up and service to accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. Representing the company at community events and attending live remote broadcasts and functions. Interacting positively with the public, co-workers, supervisors and managers. Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance.

This Account Executive position is responsible for selling advertising to clients and developing new business relationships by prospecting, developing and selling new direct-business accounts, making sales presentations, performing collections, maintaining client relations and sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all written business requirements within established deadlines. These requirements include but are not limited to: forecast reports, pending business updates, written orders and advertising copy.
  • Attend and participate in weekly sales staff meetings, individual meetings with manager and other necessary meetings and training as required by management.
  • Have a thorough understanding of rates, promotions, inventory, and personnel. Continue to learn and stay abreast of trends in digital and broadcast advertising industry.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with others. Build working relationships with co-workers, customers, vendors and the general public.
  • Complete other duties as requested and needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of digital marketing and advertising.
  • Sales or marketing experience in an environment that creates value for an organization is preferred; and/or experience driving business growth.
  • Highly organized, sound judgment.
  • Skilled communicator. Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships; communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner. The ability to motivate and instill confidence in clients is critical.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proven professional presentation skills with the ability to close a sale.
  • Must be able to drive, have a valid drivers license for daily travel to client meetings and events and a safe driving history. Driving record will be checked.

New Mexico PBS/KNME-TV, a department of the University of New Mexico, is seeking a Broadcast Technician to join our engineering team. Under general supervision, this position provides technical assistance to RF transmission and studio broadcast technology technicians. Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs broadcast studio, satellite transmit/receive, and transmission systems and equipment.  This position assists with performing functional and operational testing procedures to ensure quality reception and transmission of television broadcast products. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will also assist the Senior Broadcast Technology Technicians with maintaining documentation in compliance with Federal Communication Commission rules and regulations. This position has an expectation of being available in the event of equipment malfunction requiring emergency repairs. As this position will be assisting the RF team, requires the ability to climb towers up to 180 ft using best safety practices. Tower climbing safety training will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a valid New Mexico drivers license is a requirement for this job.
Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.

Broadcast Technology Tech, Sr.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

New Mexico PBS/KNME-TV, a department of the University of New Mexico, is seeking a Sr. Broadcast Technology Tech to join our RF engineering team. Under minimal supervision, this position executes and/or coordinates the design, installation and maintenance of all remote television transmitters, as well as all unstaffed station translator sites and satellite sites distributed across the broadcasting area of the Universitys public television station, KNME-TV.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will develop, manage and coordinate construction projects and oversee ongoing technical operations for the stations transmission network, as well as maintaining documentation in accordance with FCC regulations and University policies and procedures. This position has an expectation of being available in the event of equipment malfunction requiring emergency repairs. This position requires knowledge of broadcast system circuitry design/installation, as well as the ability to inspect, repair and maintain electrical equipment and facilities.
