Newscast Director/Audio Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KATC TV3 has an immediate Full Time opening for a Newscast Director/Audio Operator.  Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years newscast production experience. Job description includes: directing our half hour weekday and or weekend news shows, filling in during our two and a half hour morning show, along with doing required news cut-ins and running studio audio for our nightly newscasts. It may also include studio floor duties and operating camera for all KATC broadcast and posting content to our website at KATC.com and other social media platforms. Including any additional duties as needed by Operations Manager and or Production Supervisor. Strong leadership qualities are a must for this position.

 College degree preferred but not required.

Candidate must be a self starter who is able to work well with others in a fast pace environment and be able to communicate effectively.  Candidate must be able to complete task quickly and accurately. Mornings, weekends, and holiday shifts are sometimes required.

Must be able to meet company vehicle operation requirements.

The Digital Sales Leader (DSL) is responsible for supporting Sales Managers and Account Executives with digital media proposals and campaign fulfillment. In addition, the DSL assists in the expansion and support of our advertiser base by helping develop innovative digital media campaigns, presentations and collateral materials that highlight the features of our digital products. This is a temporary paid job that offers real-world journalism experience while learning from a team of award-winning investigative reporters. The ideal candidate will work 10 hours per week.
