Position: Bonneville Denver is looking for energetic, outgoing, individuals who are interested in representing our stations, 98.5 KYGO, KOSI 101.1, 104.3 The Fan and 1600 KEPN at station appearances and events in the community. In this role you will provide support to the station promotions departments on remote events, special projects and assignments and more. Due to the nature of the job, hours and shifts will vary from week to week and are based on scheduled events. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Responsibilities: 

Executing station events and remotes in the community 
Conducting contests and fulfilling prizes according to station policies and rules at events 
Maintain vehicles, banners and all associated promotional assets 
Implement knowledge of Bonneville brands to listeners at station events 
Be a positive representative of stations while interacting with listeners 
Other marketing/promotional department duties as assigned by manager and Program Director 
Duties and responsiblities may be subject to change at any time based on the needs of the station

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

POSITION PURPOSE:

Bonneville Denver is seeking board operators to operate the on-air studio console and assure accurate broadcasts for their KKFN radio stations.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Website and podcasting
Modifying audio during the show as content organically develops
Modifying audio from various sources
Editing On Air Host LIVEs
Producing spots in V-Creative
Focused operation of on-air console
Air commercials per program log
Screen listener calls for talk programs during shifts not utilizing a producer
Monitor and maintain an accurate on-air sound, notify engineering/programming on problems, insure commercials, on-air imaging and production elements run properly on the air
Double check that audio elements are problem-free, before they air
Communicate and be a part of shows with hosts, anchors and producers on upcoming elements. Occasionally assist producer.  Give time cues.
Report equipment problems, update discrepancy reports to communicate any occurrence that departs from program log or quality goals
Cross-training on other shifts in the event of scheduling emergencies
 

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

Two years news/talk/sports radio control room work.
Digital/website experience helpful.
Ability to drive company vehicles for remote broadcasts (valid drivers license and clean driving record required).
Understand and adhere to FCC rules and regulations regarding proper execution of EAS tests, Amber Alerts and other emergency on air notifications, use of digital delay to adhere to obscenity policy.
For Music stations, execute proper station formats as instructed by the Program Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Promotion Department with on-air, on-line and on-site promotions. This is an entry-level position that involves assisting with all administrative functions of radio promotions.  Main responsibilities include managing and distributing station prizes and premiums, performing basic office administrative functions; updating station web site, and handling clients and listeners.  This coordinator is also responsible for drafting and coordinating schedules for promotional assistants for on-site events. Occasional responsibilities include:  driving promotional vehicles; setting up and running audio and other types of audio equipment, hanging banners and other staging elements and conducting on-site promotions. This position reports to the Promotions Manager.  

REQUIREMENTS:

The MC Operators primary responsibility is playback of all digitized and live show elements for our Colorado Television operations. Weekend Host/Producer communicates information on-air in a clear, engaging, and professional manner. Weekend Host/Producer is responsible for preparing scheduled breaks including delivery of underwrites, public service announcements, weather and promotional announcements. Weekend Host/Producer must be a productive, responsible, and enterprising individual possessing a passion for how global, national, and regional issues connect to the KUNC listening area, which encompasses Colorado’s Front Range, the Eastern Plains, and mountain communities.

Additional Responsibilities:

-Participates in on-air fundraising as well as station development and promotional functions.      -Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant News Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Skills, Education & Experience:

-One year experience in on on-air radio hosting.
-Engaging and professional on-air presence.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Proven ability to consistently work well with others, demonstrating at all times respect for the diverse constituencies at KUNC and within the public broadcasting system.
-Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple responsibilities at once, and shift gears quickly.
-Experience with Adobe Audition or other digital audio editing software is helpful.
-Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
