Position: KSL is looking for a transmitter engineer to contribute to the Engineering Department by ensuring DTV transmitters and associated equipment located on Farnsworth Peak perform reliably and within correct FCC specification. You will work closely with member stations to ensure timely response to problems and requests.

Applicants should be smart, curious developers interested in using large data sets composed of online and proprietary data and analytical methods to answer hard questions.  Data Engineers should be fluent in SQL, and in both a high level and low-level programing language. You will have high autonomy to work within your preferred ecosystem and language preferences. Tower Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under limited supervision, installs, maintains and inspects the SCETV towers.  Plans, organizes and performs maintenance as required on all SCETV owned towers, wire attachment points and tower foundations.  Inspects tower grounding system (above ground) and determines proper corrosion control requirements for all towers.  Insures that all towers are in compliance with all FAA, FCC, EIA/TIA, OSHA and ANSI, and ASTM rules and regulations. 

 

Systems Engineer

Maine Public is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer to join our Technology/IT team in Portland, Maine. The Systems Engineer will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate communications and computer equipment.  Primary responsibilities will include skilled design and maintenance of Maine Public’s technical systems and their connectivity. The role of Systems Engineer will require a hands-on approach to work independently and provide support for other technical personnel throughout the system. Some networking and/or production work will be required.  Under the general direction of the Manager of Technology Systems, the Systems Engineer will be based our Portland studio and will travel throughout the state to support technology, such as transmitter sites, in multiple locations. Some evening and weekend work is required as assigned.

Master Control Operator - FT

The MC Operators primary responsibility is playback of all digitized and live show elements for our Colorado Television operations. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying commercial playback logs, inserting commercial breaks in conjunction with log requirements, note all air discrepancies. Loading program and commercial files, managing break content, timing recorded programming, and overseeing outgoing signal for content and quality. Required to learn new technologies as they are implemented in the department. Duties also include news and production camera operation, pre and post on-air production and other responsibilities as assigned.
