Sales Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ABC & FOX TV is seeking a Full Time Sales Assistant to join our team in Missoula. Come work with the fastest growing broadcast station. This position will be responsible for sales assistant duties.  Computer competent with strong detail orientation and organizational skills are required.  Previous broadcast experience is preferred though not required. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Assistant works under the direction of the General Sales Manager to support the growth and retention of the Account Executives and all activities related to account management.

  • Data entry and support role within the sales department for KTMF-TV.
  • Local and regional accounts order entry.
  • Generating sales reports.
  • Assist in developing sales packages for both ABC, FOX and SWX with management.
  • Work with account executives to ensure receipt and accuracy of necessary information.
  • Sales software data input.
  • Power Point Sales presentation building.
  • Assist in scheduling department and client meetings with the team.
  • Assist in event planning and execution including, but not limited to, printed event programs, liaison with event facility and staff, invitation database and rsvp tracking.
  • Assist with fill in Front Desk duties when required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:  Candidate must possess multi-tasking skills, flexibility, good time management, organizational skills, familiarity with computer systems, attention to detail, the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, friendly demeanor and be a team player. Broadcast television experience is preferred but not required.

 

The Sales Assistant will be working on a daily basis in the following programs; Wide-Orbit for Trafficking sales orders, Efficio for the organization of account lists and meetings, Ad Connections for the generation of advertising proposals, Comscore for the aggregation of program ratings, Outlook for email communication and calendar planning, Power Point for the creation of sales presentations, Microsoft Excel and Word.

 

Position is full -time M-F/8-5pm - 40 hours a week.

 

Physical Requirements or Restrictions:  Sight and dexterity to do computer input.  Ability to sit for long hours at a computer screen and answer phones. Ability to lift some computer equipment (up to 30 pounds), distribute supplies throughout the office and general office upkeep.
