HR Generalist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Bonneville International has been a leader in broadcasting for over 50 years, with a mission to build up, connect, inform and celebrate communities and families across our markets. We currently own and operate 22 radio stations in Seattle, Phoenix, Denver, Sacramento, San Francisco and Salt Lake City, along with the NBC Affiliate TV station, KSL TV 5, in Salt Lake.  Were proud of our history, and we want talented people to join us as we continue to grow!

POSITION PURPOSE:

Were looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented self starter to join our HR team. This role will provide the opportunity to support several groups within the KSL Broadcast and Bonneville Corporate organizations. We need someone who can lead projects, communicate effectively and work with a variety of leaders to provide top-tier HR support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide HR Generalist support to several business groups for recruiting, performance management, employee relations and communications.
Manage company-wide mentoring program and local market internship program.
Work with other company reps and IT to develop processes and improve utility of Workday HR system.
Act as project manager for cross-company HR initiatives.
Track and report recruiting metrics for annual FCC EEO report.
Manage compliance reporting, such as EEO-1.
Oversee onboarding of new employees.
Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations regarding HR matters to staff.
Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Understanding of best practices in HR, including recruiting, performance management, employee relations and communications.
College degree in Business Administration or other applicable field.
Minimum of two years HR experience.
Ability to learn processes / software and act as a subject matter expert for others.
Expertise in Workday preferred.
Analytical skills to conduct research, compile and analyze data; experience with HR metrics desirable.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
