SC ETV is looking for a Microwave Technician.
Performs routine and emergency maintenance on digital microwave radio systems, components and related electronic sensing devices. Performs system-level troubleshooting to determine point of failure of microwave circuits. Performs periodic and frequency measurements on microwave radios and document results. Identifies, analyzes and corrects microwave system problems to maintain peak system operating performance. Performs routine and emergency maintenance on microwave power systems, which include rectifier/battery plant, standby generator and various UPS solutions. Performs routine and emergency maintenance on wave guide pressurization systems for microwave radios. Help ensure all SCETV owned microwaves sites/guyed towers with microwave radio antennas have adequate guy wire clearance from trees and vegetation. Maintains/repairs SCETV tower lighting controllers in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory circular AC 70/7060-1K Change 2, Obstruction marking and lighting.
MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
An associate degree in electronics and related experience.
An Associate degree in electronics and related experience. Must have a nationally recognized tower climbing certification or obtain such certification within six (6) months of employment in the position.
