Telemundo Station Group is looking for a seasoned leader in broadcast TV and operations that will oversee 2 markets (Denver and Salt Lake City). The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience in TV management and operations. Position is responsible for developing and implementing station goals, supervising sales, news, and to ensure proper license compliance. This position requires strong leadership skills and the drive to meet and exceed company goals. It also requires, excellent organizational and communication skills; working knowledge of inventory management, pricing strategies, news, promotions and public relations.

The station president and general manager is expected to lead two stations and to meet company business goals. Candidate should possess impeccable business etiquette and be able to take both KDEN and KULX to the next level by leveraging our assets and maximizing our platforms.
The ideal applicant should be goal oriented, able to meet and exceed business goals, and able adapt in a fast-changing environment. Moreover, he or she should possess a great understanding of all facets of broadcast business and FCC compliance.
•Lead news team and elevate news product across the board
•Be proactive managing sales opportunities
•Maximize company initiatives
•Plan and implement station promotional goals
•Become a community and business liaison elevating the station’s image
•Secure station’s signal distribution to all ADS
•Manage station’s operational budgets
•Maximize company’s bottom line
•Must be willing to work from Denver, CO and be able to travel to Salt Lake City as business requires
•BA or BS in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field
•Five years’ experience in broadcast management
•Working knowledge of Nielsen ratings
•Strong leadership experience and knowledge in both Local and National Sales
•Working knowledge of Wide Orbit, OSI or TV traffic system
•Working knowledge of news room dynamics
•Excellent command of al Microsoft applications
•Working knowledge of HD broadcast protocol and digital
•Strong bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
•Able to handle working under the pressure of intense deadlines
•Can act decisively under stress and tight deadlines
•Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends) and to return to work in emergencies situations
