Sales Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Bonneville International has been a leader in broadcasting for over 50 years, with a mission to build up, connect, inform and celebrate communities and families across our markets.  POSITION PURPOSE:

To assist the Sales Managers, Account Executives (AEs), and DOS with activities and projects to meet or exceed revenue goals in a manner that will reflect the highest professional standards while selling and servicing Bonneville Denver Media Groups accounts in conformity with company policies and procedures.  Contribute to the sales teams growth and professionalism.  Consistently support AEs as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Assist AEs and Sales Managers in entering orders in Marketron/Wide Orbit.
Assist AEs and Sales Managers in preparing reports and presentations and entering CRM.
Assist AEs and Sales Managers in the following business areas:
-Securing transactional business

-Developing new business         

-Solving clients marketing needs with integrated media marketing programs

-Cooperating with other brand AEs within cluster to present, sell and create cluster-wide programs

-Oversee tracking and accuracy of block programming and endorsements

Ensure deliverables are met for sponsored digital elements.
Participate in training to enhance professional skills and the overall understanding of new and evolving media.
Serve as back up to Sales Support Team in the execution of sales and promotions, Marketron order entry for national sales, sales reports and DFP.
Attend weekly sales meetings and other meetings as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

BA in business, communications, sales, basic accounting, finance or related field
High proficiency with Excel software.
Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail, efficiency and accuracy.
Ability to organize, analyze and interpret statistical data. Draw conclusions from finding and follow-through.
Ability to work with moderate supervision, confidential information and be a self starter.
Capable and willing to resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to perform unscheduled assignments.
A high level of proficiency with computers, software and new technologies.
 

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS, BUT NOT REQUIRED: 

Two (2) years experience within sales or customer service
Previous experience with Marketron software and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
