Accounting Clerk


KUSI 9 News is seeking an outgoing, multi-tasking go-getter to support the Accounting Team.  


Amongst other things, this individual will assist with the following:

  • Accounts Payable, to include, but not limited to:
    • Processing mail
    • Reconciling invoices to purchase orders
    • Obtaining proper approval to pay, cutting checks, and mailing payments.
    • Maintaining historical records via digital filing.
  • Accounts Receivable, to include, but not limited to:
    • Invoicing customers.
    • Posting payments to customer accounts.
    • Processing daily deposits.
    • Managing A/R Aging, and making appropriate collection calls.
    • Maintaining historical records via digital filing.
    • Receptionist – Meeting and greeting visitors, and operating switchboard on a regular fill-in basis.
    • Other clerical duties as directed.


Necessary Skills – Must have:

  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.  Working knowledge of accounting systems.  Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains and Paycom desired.  Ten key and data entry proficient.
  • Three plus years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and basic bookkeeping.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, be organized, flexible, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize and complete projects within given deadlines.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to protect confidentiality without exception.
