Morning Show Multimedia Producer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Do you love to produce radio shows?  Are you a talented writer? Want your creativity to be associated with one of the nation’s biggest multimedia brands?  Are you a digital and social media junkie?  Then this is the opportunity for you.  Townsquare Media Trenton (NJ101.5FM-WKXW) is looking for a full-time Multimedia Producer for our morning show! New graduates are welcome to apply! Get into a fast paced, growth oriented career.  This is a career launching pad, not just a job. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, energy and a strong work ethic to the role.  Its not for a clock puncher! The job location is Trenton, New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

·         Report to the NJ101.5 Brand Manager and Programming DME.

·         Answer phone and screen callers to the on-air program, selecting only the best calls for interaction with the host

·         Assist the host in coordinating guests and appearances

·         Assist the host with research on compelling content for both on-air and on-line

·         Incorporate listener online comments, Tweets, Facebook posts, and poll results into the show

·         Maintain the show pages on NJ1015.com

·         Create videos of what is happening on-air – bits, callers, spontaneous moments, etc

·         Create real-time digital content on NJ1015.com that becomes part of the show (polls, photos, etc)

·         Create website posts based on what is happening on the show – best moments, compilations of listener responses, etc

·         Participate in regular digital programming meetings to brainstorm show ideas, online content ideas, promos, stunts, etc

·         Leverage search and social data to drive on-air and online programming ideas

·         Contribute to on-air, digital, and social media content

·         With the supervision of the DME, they will updating hourly topics at nj1015.com, push out content via social media, publish photos, video, and other insider content

·         Work with the hosts to create compelling digital and social media content to maximize reach both on-air and on-line

·         Identify the best on-air segments, calls, guests, and other content to be highlighted on all platforms

·         The potential to interact with host on air.

·         Help setting up remote broadcasts

 

Qualifications:

Goal oriented, a strong work ethic and a sense of what it takes to win is essential
The successful candidate will be smart, curious, tenacious, independent, passionate, enthusiastic and work with urgency to meet deadlines.
Strong desire to be coached, mentored, and developed while comfortable being an individual contributor 
Great people skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s Degree required
Media experience a plus
