Weekend Morning Meterologist Reporter


WSPA-TV seeks an experienced meteorologist to join our Storm Team 7. We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience presenting weather across different seasons and comfortable being part of a morning newscast team, to be our next weekend morning meteorologist and environment reporter.




Minimum of 2 years professional experience in preparing and presenting weathercasts for a broadcast television station.  A degree or certification in meteorology is highly desired.  You must have a professional, engaging on-air presence along with ability to operate weather systems, specifically WSI, to discern data and develop accurate forecasts. Significant experience with digital and mobile platforms and a willingness to consistently engage with viewers through social media platforms.  Ability to field report is a must and ability to shoot and edit video would be a major plus. Applicants should have a degree or certification in meteorology as well as a seal from AMS and/or NWA.   Experience with WSI Max products is a plus. The successful candidate will also be capable of delivering solid field reporting on environmental/weather issues.
