To continue and grow our services to Maine citizens, Maine Public is looking for an experienced, dynamic and energetic individual to lead our Member Services team through the overall development of the annual plan to raise approximately $5.5 million in revenue through member giving. Based at our Bangor, Maine facility, the Director will also lead a membership team comprised of 9 individuals, develop strategies to raise funds for radio and TV through on-air pledge drives, and direct mail, and telemarketing campaigns. The Director of Member Services evaluates the success of the membership program throughout the year and makes necessary adjustments to meet goals.
A bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing or related field is preferred. At least three years’ specific experience directing a membership department, or equivalent experience in development, fundraising, public relations or marketing is required along with excellent analytical, communication and supervisory skills. Frequent travel to other Maine Public locations and participation in promotional events is required.
