Alaska Public Broadcasting, Inc. (APBI) seeks a Chief Engineer to join the staff of our statewide public media service bureau. The Chief Engineer will provide system support in all aspects of broadcast and new media engineering; including planning, installation, maintenance, repairs, FCC compliance and training.


For over 15 years the APBI engineering operation has provided onsite and remote broadcast and technical support to public broadcasting stations throughout Alaska. We seek a good natured, energetic person with great organizational and people skills, as well as significant in-the-field broadcast engineering experience. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic and innovative organization, bring strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven track record in project planning and implementation, and enjoy traveling and working in the field with station personnel and community members.

Salary range: $65K to $80K, with a competitive benefit plan. Compensation depends on skills and experience. Alaska Public Broadcasting, Inc. is an at-will employer.
