Executive Assistant to the President and CEO

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Rocky Mountain Public Media is one of the nation’s largest and most cutting-edge public media organizations. As the only statewide public media station, with television, radio and digital properties, RMPM strives to enrich the lives of all Coloradans through engaging and essential programs, services and community partnerships that inform, enlighten and entertain. To further this mission, RMPM is seeking an Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. The ideal candidate for this position has excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position will serve as a key member of the Rocky Mountain Public Media Executive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides daily support to the President and Chief Executive Officer. Manages an extremely actively calendar of appointments for the CEO, as well as coordinates schedules of other members of the senior management team as needed. Composes and prepares correspondence that is sometimes confidential. Arranges travel plans and itineraries. Completes expense reports and reconciles credit card statements of the CEO. Responds to requests for materials regarding the CEO, the Board, or the corporation in general. Assists with the coordination of capital campaign donor meetings, maintains a list of capital campaign activities, logs notes, and assists with other aspects of the capital campaign as needed. Coordinates Board of Director meetings and communications, including creating a meeting calendar, aggregating meeting materials, taking and filing meeting minutes, making catering and gift arrangements, and any other board-related duties. Works with the CEO to prepare agendas and gather materials for various meetings. Works with internal staff and contractors to organize, edit and prepare donor and partner correspondence. Works with the board chairman to send out letters on the chairman’s behalf as needed. Makes all arrangements for the board holiday happy hour and the annual board dinner. Coordinates the annual employee holiday party. Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in any related field strongly desired. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Expert written and verbal communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills required. Advanced skillset with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Office365), with the ability to provide basic IT support to the CEO on occasion. Familiarity with iPhone functionality and troubleshooting helpful. Project management skills a plus. Familiarity with SalesForce database a plus. Experience with a public media organization, and Spanish language skills, a plus.
