Louisiana Public Broadcasting is seeking an anchor/reporter/producer to join our national award-winning team. Candidates should be enterprising and capable of generating relevant, timely stories. LPB has a long history of award winning programs, including a duPont Columbia Award, Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Awards
Duties include producing, scripting and anchoring Louisianas oldest running statewide news and public affairs program, "Louisiana: The State Were In," along with writing and producing weekly stories for the program. This job will require some degree of travel in order to cover the state. Additional duties include contributing to other LPB projects and programs
Candidates should be enterprising and capable of generating relevant, timely stories. This position requires strong writing, research and editorial skills, good news judgement and willingness to collaborate. Candidates should be skilled in social media and reporting on multiple platforms. Applicants must have must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience. Candidate must have solid on-air experience and proficiency in news gathering, writing, editing and production of short and long form reports.
