Anchorage talk station A-M 700 KBYR has an immediate opening for a fulltime Talk Producer & Programming Assistant. The primary role will be producing our morning drive “The Michael Dukes Show” each weekday morning. The work shift is currently 4 A.M. – Noon Monday through Friday.
Duties will include assisting in the planning and structuring of daily show working directly with Michael Dukes, oversee the technical operations of the morning show including board operation, call screening, and live guest interaction, booking topical and timely guests on both national and local issues while building and maintaining a list of recurring guests and contacts. Occasional on-air conversations with the host will also occur.
Additional duties will include preparing the program for daily podcast/on-demand and assisting in the station’s social media presence including both Twitter and Facebook. A role in assisting in the programming of KBYR is also a possibility.
At least 2 years of fulltime broadcast experience is preferred.
