Alaska Public Media (AKPM) seeks a Marketing and Promotions Manager to support executing the company’s strategic fundraising goals through member-driven marketing and promotions. AKPM is the source for NPR radio and PBS television for South Central Alaska and stewards the statewide Alaska Public Radio Network. The Marketing and Promotions Manager reports to the Director of Member Engagement and performs an essential role in the visibility, membership growth, and sustainability of this non-profit broadcast media organization.
The Marketing and Promotions Manager requires an eye for detail while managing the day-to-day responsibilities for AKPM branding, aesthetics, and overall reach of the company’s public image and messaging. Specifically, reporting to the Director of Member Engagement, the Marketing and Promotions Manager ensures that AKPM marketing and promotion plans are executed in accordance with guidelines and support member engagement activities. These activities include fund drives on all platforms (TV/radio/online), special events, direct mail campaigns, print collateral, on-air promotion support, web, and social media.
Has demonstrable training and experience in traditional and digital marketing and promotions.
Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He/She must be highly creative, resourceful, well organized, motivated, and excited to be part of a mission-driven, vibrant, and growing public-service broadcast media organization.
Prior Adobe Illustrator design, WYSIWYG web back-end, and social media experience is a must.
3 – 5 years’ experience in marketing and promotions. Preferably in the non-profit sector.
