KSL Broadcasting Accounting Assistant (Part Time) #5093

Position purpose: Responsible to maintain a well-organized and accurate accounts payable operation in a courteous, prompt, accurate and efficient manner.  Involves processing of invoices, check requests and other documents for payment.  Also involves verifying transactions in the paycard system are accurate and the process is complete.

Approximately 20 hours per week.



1.Collect and prepare invoices to be scanned and processed in automated accounts payable front-end system.
2.Scrutinize invoices and check requests for reasonableness and proper account numbers to insure that company policy is followed. Any exceptions should be brought to the attention of management.
3.Audit employee expense reports and paycard transactions for compliance with company and IRS guidelines.
4.Must be familiar with general ledger and budgeted account numbers so invoices can be properly allocated.
5.Process and allocate landline and mobile telephone bills for account allocation and payment.
6.Provide training to employees utilizing company paycards.
7.Audit paycard reports for receipt and GL coding.
8.Match paycard reports and receipts with bank billing statement.

9. Other duties as assigned.



Excellent organizational skills; the ability to attend to details; and accomplish tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
Minimum three years experience in accounting environment with proven ability to complete assignments in a timely, detailed, and accurate manner.
Computer literate, specifically with Microsoft Excel / Word and have accurate keyboarding skills. Demonstrated analytical skills to work with various computer systems.
Ability to work well under pressure and assure both individual and joint projects are completed on a timely basis.
Able to maintain appropriate confidentiality and develop and maintain effective communication with staff personnel, co-workers, and others while interacting during the performance of assigned duties. Must be able to clearly and accurately communicate, receive and interpret instruction.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients.
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
