Job Title/Status Staff Broadcast Engineer – F/T Non-exempt salaried. Reports to Chief Engineer. Alpha Media Anchorage is currently searching for a fully capable Staff Engineer to help maintain its radio facilities in south-central Alaska. You’ll assist the Chief Engineer to maintain equipment, build outprojects and ensure FCC compliance. You will be working with and maintaining broadcast systems and technologies and you must be willing to make your work a priority.
SBE certification is a plus, SBE membership required, a degree or certification in technology is ideal, but a good level of experience is fine. You should be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, climb a ladder and hike through snow when necessary. You need a can-do attitude and the ability to solve problems quickly and creatively. The successful candidate should be familiar with or capable of learning and mastering radio related technologies including but not limited to networking and IT, PC/software maintenance and repair, AM and FM transmitter repair and installation, VHF and UHF radio technology, digital and analog audio, EAS equipment and studio equipment maintenance.
Must have valid drivers license, vehicle, and state required vehicle insurance. Must be 21 or over.
