KSL TV Special Projects Producer (Full-Time) #5075



Bonneville International has been a leader in broadcasting for over 50 years, with a mission to build up, connect, inform and celebrate communities and families across our markets. We currently own and operate 14 radio stations in Seattle, Phoenix, Denver and Salt Lake City, along with the NBC Affiliate TV station, KSL TV 5, in Salt Lake.  Were proud of our history, and we want talented people to join us as we continue to grow!

We need a dynamic individual to produce content for KSL-TV community initiatives: "Your Life Your Health", "Road to Zero Fatalities" and "KSL Cares". In addition, the individual will manage important relationships with community partners and clients of KSL initiatives as well as oversee on-going development of KSL initiatives along with KSL management team.




  Assume primary responsibility for stories to be produced for regular newscasts, as part of KSL-TV commitments to community partners in aforementioned initiatives. Oversee production, writing, and editing of stories and specials.

  Strive to achieve accuracy, fairness and topical relevance in reporting and production of stories.

  Edit and write copy, headlines, teases and promos that are accurate, interesting and understandable, and that entice the viewer to watch.

  Attend story planning conferences and give input to news talent and fellow producers regarding coverage

  Consistently meet deadlines as defined by KSL management, News Director, and Enterprise Managing Editor.

  Contribute creative story-telling techniques and ideas to production of stories.  Produce an attractive product by utilizing fresh approaches to packaging, production and content.

  Set an example of professionalism and leadership.  Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients. Work effectively in a team environment.

  Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures.

  Consistently works hours required.  Work more when required to meet deadlines including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.

  Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.

  Other duties as assigned.



  College degree in journalism, communications, related field, or equivalent.

  Ability to conceptualize production for each story and to timely assign production elements to appropriate news, production and enterprise personnel.

  Knowledge of news scripting program ENPS and the ability to utilize state-of-the-art television technology.

  Ability to edit video content on Adobe Premiere preferred.

  Familiarity with digital video camera operation preferred.

  Proven ability to handle stress.

  Prefer those with knowledge of community organizations and resources.


  Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.

  Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.

  Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hand, and/or fingers.        

  Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication.

  Ability to sit for long periods of time.
