Radio Promotions Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KFFN, KMXZ, KQTH and KTGV located in Tucson, Arizona are radio stations owned by E.W. Scripps, a company rich in media history while staying focused on the future. We also have the unique ability to partner with our TV station partners, KGUN and KWBA within the same building.

We are seeking a dynamic Radio Promotions Coordinatorto facilitate on-site events and promotions and along with the promotions manager, represents the station to listeners and clients at promotional events and business meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in execution of marketing and promotion efforts.
Assist in conception and development of new promotions.
Write, develop, and implement, proposals, copy, and scripts for sales promotions, listener promotion and, on-air contests.
Create promotional proposals for sales and programming.
Maintain promotion inventory.
Assist with website marketing and social media marketing efforts.
Assist in coordination of all in-station and out-of-station events.
Responsible for the upkeep and equipment on station vehicles
Act as liaison between the promotions department and the rest of the station
Will assist in the set up and maintenance of equipment while working live or remote broadcasts.
Handle department billing
Maintain listener databases
Assist in management of promotion staff and other promotion duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High school diploma required.
Bachelors degree in Communications, Advertising, or Marketing preferred.
Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years experience working in radio station promotions or special events.
Two years preferred.
Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication skills required.
Strong problem solving and organization skills.
High work ethic, integrity, and standards.
Ability to meet deadlines and detail oriented.
Ability to interact with others in a positive manner, while working and learning in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to execute and maximize the impact of promotional opportunities for station.
Ability to reach out and speak to the public.
Must be energetic and enthusiastic.
Open to being coached.
Strong organizational and computer skills
Valid drivers license required.
