KMBQ-FM, Morning Drive On-Air Talent

Executes and produces the format on the air through performing and interacting with audience and clients in studio and/or remote broadcasts to ensure stationís ratings success. Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities are performed in a timely, professional, and accurate manner. This job description may be modified at any time as deemed appropriate by management or consistent with the essence of the job. Perform Morning Show from 6am to 10a, as directed by the Program Director. Arrive no later than 5am Mon-Fri.



  • Entertains and informs listener audience.
  • Announces station identification and assets in special promotions and programming activities as directed by Program Director.
  • Conducts on-air interviews of guests.
  • May act as Master of Ceremonies for public and/or private events.
  • Work with program director on developing and producing content specifically designed for station or cluster web sites, social media sites or web streams.
  • Works with the Program Director to create format clocks for the flow of music.
  • Generates daily music logs.
    Writes, announces and compiles news stories.
  • Monitor wire services and identifies important news issues with the community.
  • Responsible for in-company voice tracking of other day parts or stations plus commercial production as assigned by Program Director.
  • Works on special projects as assigned by Program Director.



  • Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of stationís programming strategies.
  • Computer literacy in applicable programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications shills.
  • Problem-solving ability and skills in prioritizing.
  • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently without immediate direction or supervision.

EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma and a valid driverís license.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job may require lifting or moving up to 25 lbs. Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
