POSITION OBJECTIVE: Our people are what makes Bonneville International such an amazing place to work. As an HR Generalist, you will be critical to attracting, retaining and developing these individuals within our Salt Lake Market (KSL TV, KSL News Radio, FM 100.3 and Arrow 103.5). Your skills and knowledge will be called upon to help Bonneville execute our HR strategy across the organization. In addition, you are needed for your expertise in payroll, employee engagement, employment law, compensation, benefits administration and more.
TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Human Resources
Foster a working relationship with managers/supervisors to facilitate strategies promoting a working environment that welcomes all Bonneville employees.
Assure FCC EEO and other HR related law compliance for the Salt Lake Market.
Assure Bonneville's procedures are followed with respect to job openings.
Oversee, develop and evaluate effective recruitment sources for assigned groups.
Responsible for HR input into Great Plains (our HRIS), including new hire information, salary changes, terminations, etc. to maintain up-to-date HR records.
Coach managers/supervisors in interviewing skills to assist them in finding and choosing the best employees in the shortest possible period of time, reducing hiring errors and reducing turnover.
Assure annual performance reviews are completed for each employee at assigned group(s).
Respond to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, diversity issues and harassment allegations.
Coach employees and managers on effective problem resolution and steps to take to maintain a positive working environment.
Maintain employee confidence and protect the Company by keeping personnel data confidential.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients.
Consistently work hours required. Work more when required to meet deadlines, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
A Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
Minimum 2-5 years of prior HR experience, preferably as an HR Generalist or Business Partner
The ability to understand and utilize HR metrics to track and improve upon key processes
Extensive experience coaching, engaging, and guiding leaders by building effective business-focused relationships
Sound business acumen with analytical skills
Strong facilitation skills
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
