KNME/New Mexico PBS, the PBS member station serving central and northern New Mexico for over 57 years, and licensed jointly to the University of New Mexico and Albuquerque Public Schools, seeks qualified candidates for its Manager of Accounting position.
This position serves as KNME's Director of Finance and Administration, responsible for budget development and monitoring, internal control assessment and improvement, and compliance with funding agency and regulatory agency requirements. The position also oversees the station's human resources function to ensure compliance with University and other agency requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with the Public Broadcasting Service and Corporation for Public Broadcasting funding practices and guidelines; have strong knowledge of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting compliance/audit requirements; and budget development and monitoring experience in an organization with a complex funding structure. In addition, candidates must be able to coordinate the annual financial and compliance audit, supervise staff to ensure that objectives are met, and have excellent communication skills with a variety of constituents.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Bachelor's degree successful completion of at least 15 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Must have a thorough and deep knowledge of Banner Human Resource and Finance systems software.
- Experience working with PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
- Thorough knowledge of Corporation for Public Broadcasting audit requirements.
- Firm grasp of the University of New Mexico human resources policies and practices.
- Ability and willingness to coordinate with external auditors.
