Regional Business Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Rich Broadcasting is looking for a Regional Business Manager/Accountant to oversee and consolidate all of its financial transactions for its Southeast Idaho, Jackson and Sun Valley markets. This is a hands-on, team-oriented position. The ideal candidate must be able to manage sales revenue forecasting, billing and collections, all aspects of payroll and accrual accounting. In addition, qualified applicants must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, be attentive to detail and highly organized with the proven ability to meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide financial support to the President, Market Manager, Sales Managers and Board Members of Rich Broadcasting
  • Protect the FCC licenses for all Rich Broadcasting radio stations
  • Analyze financial results and prepare reporting procedures on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Manage and develop all budget and cost containment procedures
  • Review monthly financial close and prepare adjusting entries
  • Process payroll including all State and Federal filings, State Workers Comp and Unemployment Insurance quarterly filings, W2s, calculate all sales commissions, and talent/remote fees
  • Manage accounts receivable process including billing, invoice generation, cash in advance processing, and assist sales with collection issues
  • Constant evaluation of expense controls and procedures
  • Monitor account balances to ensure availability of funds, and manage accounts payable in timely and efficient manner
  • Represent Rich Broadcasting in the highest regard within the community and business environment
  • Develop and maintain effective communications with both internal and external business partners
  • Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Work on special projects and acquisitions as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Work Experience Required

  • A minimum of 5 years experience accounting or financial background

Preferred, But Not Required

  • Experience working with radio stations or other media
  • Working Knowledge and Understand of Marketron Software
  • Accounting, Finance or Business degree

Skills & Abilities Required

  • Excellent communication skills, work well with others in a team oriented environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
  • Strong general ledger accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Quick Books or other accounting software
  • Demonstrated history of preparing and presenting financial statements
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Strong ethical business practices and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proven leadership qualities
