One of the nation’s largest and most cutting-edge public media companies is seeking a dynamic and versatile Radio/TV Tech to join our team. This position supports KUVO’s and Rocky Mountain PBS’ Programming and Traffic departments. The successful candidate will be scheduling on-air interstitial material and programs and will act as a liaison between production, corporate sales and other departments in meeting deadlines for programming.
TYPICAL DUTIES: Prepares and reconciles radio and television broadcast traffic logs. Liaises between programming/ traffic execute policies and procedures of broadcast elements on-air and plans and implements program schedules. Liaises with production departments to develop and proofread copy and create, schedule and modify recorded spots. Works closely with Corporate Sales and schedules broadcast and non-broadcast elements, ensures delivery of underwriting elements, and communicates inventory availability.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree required. 2 years successful traffic experience in the broadcast industry. Ability to work with figures, specifically timing information, and maintain accuracy; attention to detail is essential. Must be available for on call coverage during station broadcast hours. Experience in operating and maintaining a PC based database. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms. Knowledge of television broadcast operations and procedures. Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the provisions of RMPBS automobile insurance. Spanish language skills a plus.
