Experienced Human Resources Manager

Role Purpose
This role will be based in Phoenix, Arizona and will provide daily HR support to the Telemundo SW Region stations including Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas & Denver.

Lead and leverage HR processes and drive key HR initiatives across departments, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, talent review, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication.

Create and execute a comprehensive employee relations strategy

Partner and collaborate with various business leaders on growth strategies and cost challenges; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute in order to enable these strategies

Work with managers to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, and advancement

Help to drive change within the organization, to include adoption of new technologies, workflows, staffing models, and organization structures

Identify, select, develop and retain world-class talent and ensure a dynamic pipeline while creating and maintaining an internal and external talent pool

Provide executive coaching to department leaders, offering feedback and advice on employee and organizational issues

Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements

Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers.

Work with operating leaders and HR counterparts on reorganization and integration activities as required

Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives.

Drive local compliance requirements including EEOC, FCC, EHS, etc.

Provide coaching to employees & managers, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner.

Responsible for employee relations activities such as Fun Committee events

Build knowledge of SAP, Eureka, and Business Warehouse reporting.

Bachelor`s degree in Human Resources or related field

Minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience, specifically in a HR Manager or Generalist role with an emphasis on employee and/or labor relations

Must be willing to work in Phoenix, AZ and travel to Denver & Las Vegas when needed

Strong business acumen, facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills

Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies and knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety

Must be fully bilingual with an ability to communicate professionally (written & verbal) in both English & Spanish

Strong business partnership: able to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders

Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups.

Strong employee-relations skill set; can earn trust and credibility with employees in assigned groups

Ability to build trusting relationships with employees

Previous experience with a represented workforce is a plus

Proven influencer; demonstrated ability to coach and counsel both employees and management

Basic knowledge of Labor Relations and collective bargaining agreements a plus

Ability to handle multiple priorities and lead change

Takes ownership; able to establish self as the "go-to" HR resource for client organizations

Prior media/television industry experience preferred
