The Morris Communications radio division is currently searching for a capable Broadcast Engineer to join its engineering team and maintain its 7-station radio facilities in Anchorage, Alaska. Anchorage Media Group is looking for a can-do attitude and the ability to solve problems quickly and creatively. This position will collaborate with AMG’s Chief Engineer in maintaining equipment, build out of projects and maintaining FCC compliance. The candidate will work with and maintaining broadcast systems and technologies and is on call 24/7.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in radio technology, should be familiar with all radio related technologies including, but not limited to, AM and FM transmitter repair and installation, VHF and UHF radio technology, digital and analog audio, EAS equipment, IT and studio maintenance. SBE certification is a plus, SBE membership required, a degree or certification in technology is ideal, but a solid level of experience is acceptable. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, climb a ladder and hike through snow is necessary. Valid driver’s license required.
