One of the nation`s largest and most cutting-edge public media companies is seeking a dynamic and versatile TV-Radio Development Producer to join our team and embark upon a career in production. This position serves as the producer for the Development Department and supports all TV, Radio, and Web fundraising efforts.

TYPICAL DUTIES: Manages and implements all areas of production for the development department, including TV and Radio Spots and live and pre-recorded Pledge Shows. Working closely with the development department, the Development Producer is responsible for all preproduction, production and post-production of development video and audio content. Typical duties include researching, scriptwriting, scheduling talent and crew, directing video shoots or audio recordings, editing and distributing content. Edits development spots and other development programming while following PBS, NPR and FCC technical standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor`s Degree in journalism, mass communications, broadcast communications or related field. Minimum 1 years VIDEO editing experience (Premiere, Final Cut and / or AVID). Editing software knowledge (Premier, ProTools and Cool Edit Pro a plus) and field video recording technologies. After Affects experience a plus. Demonstrated videography experience preferred. Must demonstrate an ability to passionately articulate the case for supporting public radio & television. Must possess coaching/directing skills in directing talent in pre-produced and live settings. Demonstrated knowledge of FCC and HD technical standards; knowledge of PBS technical standards preferred. Comfort working in a digital and tape environment with knowledge of various video formats, codecs, and implementation. Detail oriented. Ability to work well with people and maintain professional demeanor under pressure. Demonstrated knowledge of audio and video setup and control including related engineering troubleshooting. Ability to endure occasional long or irregular hours and out-of-town travel. Ability to lift and carry production equipment. Possess valid driver`s license and acceptable motor vehicle record, insurable for driving station vehicles. Knowledge of broadcast operations. Requires national quality writing, interviewing and audio editing abilities. Highly motivated, self-starter who works well with people. Excellent time-management, prioritizing and scheduling skills. Fluent in Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
