Broadcast Maintenance Engineer

Duties: Assist Chief Engineer with installation, maintenance, operation and support of complex broadcast systems and equipment at a variety of transmission sites and studios. Assist in planning facility and equipment maintenance, expansion and improvements. Facilitate compliance with FCC, FAA and other relevant regulators. Maintain all equipment associated with radio facilities including automation, production, live sound, and the associated engineering IT infrastructure. Operate and maintain high-power FM broadcast transmission equipment. Operate and maintain remote broadcast vehicles and associated equipment. Year-round travel to transmitter locations, may include show machine and snowshoeing.

Skills: Candidate must be a motivated team player with a strong commitment to exceeding user expectations; must have strong electronic troubleshooting and audio background and possess excellent communication and organizational skills; high level of analytical and problem-solving abilities; General knowledge in all aspects of radio broadcast maintenance preferred. Must be able to climb and work from ladders. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to obtain an Idaho Driver’s License.

Education: Associates degree in technology, electrical engineering, information technology or related field and two years experience in radio broadcast technical field or equivalent experience which provides comparable knowledge, skills and abilities. SBE certification preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Radio Broadcast Engineering.
