The Maine Public Broadcasting Network is looking for a skilled and responsible person to be based in Lewiston and fill the role of Transmission Technician responsible for the general routine maintenance and operation of television / radio transmitters, digital RF transmission systems, and microwave system interconnecting MPBN facilities, and other associated terminal equipment. The job requires frequent travel to and from transmitter sites ensuring safe and consistent operation of systems and equipment, as well as maintenance of each property. Access to remote transmitter buildings can require using an ATV or snowmobile. Communication with Master Control is crucial during equipment outages. Employee must be available to be called in during non-work hours and when other personnel are not available.
