- Oversee the daily operation, message, music scheduling and talent requirements of the station. - Work directly with Programming, Marketing & Promotions, Sales and other departments as needed. - Ensure the station formatics are executed properly and as proposed by the Program Director. - Schedule music via RCS Selector software and run daily/weekly analysis of Selector software/schedules. - Create RCS Long Audit Trials, successfully analyze music scheduling problems and propose reliable solutions. - Assist with creating Contest/Promotional/Imaging/Online/Email copy. - Maintain the station's music libraries and oversee the dubbing of all music content media. - Secure music required for broadcast. - Continually re-examine the Selector software to ensure that all pertinent data is listed for each song and that all fields are complete and correct. - Attend music sorts/perceptual presentations and actively participate in brainstorming sessions. - Manage relationships with trade magazines, radio critics, and Internet vendors who compose editorial about the industry and station. - Perform live on-air broadcasts that are entertaining and informative. - Prepare and research for broadcast. - Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift. - Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly. - Operate the control board; production work. - Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.
- Minimum 2 years of Assistant Program/Music Director experience with a proven track record with at least 2 years of experience scheduling music via RCS Selector and control room messaging via PromoSuite software. - Must have at least 2 years of on-air broadcast experience. - Knowledge of FCC rules is required. - Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work autonomously. - Ability to run broadcast facility board and operate EAS hardware is required. - Must have solid production skills with a strong working knowledge of studio audio equipment for on-air and production execution, including on-air digital systems such as Audio Vault and RCS Master Control. - Excellent on-air voice with a demonstrated track record is required. - Knowledge of the format and audience is required. - Knowledge of the geographical demographics is preferred. - High School diploma required; college degree in related field preferred.
