Duties: Day to day programming duties, including music scheduling, creation & execution of compelling and exceptional promotions; increase ratings and brand equity of station; interact with sales to create revenue generating opportunities; grow web and digital platforms; schedule, manage, coach and inspire on air talent; prepare and deliver compelling on air content in the 3 to 6 pm day part; remotes and personal appearances are also necessary.
Skills: Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent on air delivery skills. Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while working well under pressure. Knowledge of Music Master, Adobe Audition, Wide Orbit Automation system and MS Office is required. Strategic planning skills, as well as execution and knowledge of the Classic Hits format are required. Coaching of on air talent is an integral part of this position. Experience: Minimum of three to five years programming experience in the Classic Hits format is required, as is three to five years on air experience.
Education: High School diploma required; college degree in Broadcast Journalism or Communication preferred. Experience: Minimum of three to five years programming experience in the Classic Hits format is required, as is three to five years on air experience.
