Journal Communications, Inc., a diversified media company with nationwide operations in radio, television, publishing and interactive media, has an exceptional opportunity available for the Vice President/General Manager of the Tucson radio operations in Tucson, Arizona. As a part of Journal`s senior leadership team, the VP/GM will work with station leadership to design and execute strategy that drives both revenue and ratings growth while promoting the brand that positions us as a leader in the community.

The GM will provide overall operational leadership and direction for the radio stations and new media by identifying and implementing strategies to grow the revenue and earnings of the stations; set short and long term goals; create and implement sales and product strategies to achieve established goals, create and implement annual operating and capital budgets; provide management with accuracy and timeliness of information necessary to make strategic, investment and operating decisions; create a productive work environment for all employees, and ensure all station operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have ten plus years of proven experience in broadcast leadership; five years broadcast management experience. Required skills include a thorough knowledge of the broadcast business, understanding of general principles of accounting, excellent communication, motivation, leadership, organizational and time management skills. A Bachelor`s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required.
