Digital Content Manager -

The Digital Content Manager will lead the vision for – strategizing with WWL Operations & Program Director, Web Master and ETM Digital.

The Digital Content Manager must be an internet product innovator - who will optimize to bring WWL audio, video and text based content strategy forward to the consumer in the most efficient and visually alluring design possible. The Digital Content Manager will work hand-in-glove with our WWL Web Master to assist with upgrading and enhancing They will work together to define, develop & deploy best practices for the site…as well as social media and other digital assets. The DCM will manage product, expectations, day-to-day operations…creating and collaborating with WWL Operations & Program Director, Web Master, News Director, Talent, Talk Producers, Digital Sales & WWL Sales to grow the site. Yes, you must be a people person and a juggler! This is an opportunity to play a leading role in the development of some of the most successful and highest profile applications in the News-Talk-Sports marketplace. The Digital Content Manager will report to the WWL Operations & Program Director.

- A strong leader who can direct a professional staff and generate enthusiasm and innovation throughout, by personal example and incorporating and offering best-in-class tactics to the team. - Strong affinity for new product creation with an insatiable curiosity to explore new technologies and ability to adapt them to strategic opportunities. - A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and working in a loosely structured environment. - A results oriented leader with a keen sense for “what’s cool” and clear understanding for what internet consumers need and desire. - A successful track record in identifying, introducing and applying new technologies in a fast-paced web based environment. - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming. - Strong project management experience, with project lives ranging from a few days to many months. - Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. - Ability to provide technical and professional mentoring to team members. - Strong communication skills, both oral and written. - A passion for news, talk and sports! - Journalistic integrity; strong editorial instincts. - Demonstrated ability to manage in a hands-on fashion. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing or work experience equivalent to formal qualification. - 4+ years hands-on web development experience in a professional environment. - 2+ years experience in a lead development role, preferably with direct reports
