Leave your mark on the future of local TV news, at the home of the Crimson Tide! The University of Alabama is looking for an Assoc Dir News & Sports Programming. The University of Alabama is one of only two universities in the nation with a commercial TV station, a nationally recognized public radio station, and a public TV production unit all under one roof. All three groups are housed at the University of Alabama's new state-of-the art $17 million dollar digital media center.
We're seeking a candidate with multi-platform media experience to lead WVUA-TV's commercial news and sports team, and work with the next generation of student journalists.
The candidate should have a proven track record in news management, producing/writing skills, assignments managing, and creating sports programming. Experience as a student mentor is a plus.
