Creative Services Producer/Writer/Editor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Who are you?? You're a proven Promotion Producer with a passion for innovative and creative work. You can Create! Write! Produce! Edit! You're the person who's known for getting it done and exceeding expectations - and sadly, you're stuck in a station that is unwilling and unable to take chances...and you want more.

KTVK- 3TV and KASW-CW6 are accepting applications for the position of Creative Services Producer/Writer/Editor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write, produce and edit strong, compelling topical news promotion in close coordination with the news department for on-air, online, social and mobile platforms that support and are consistent with brand standards. Write, produce and edit image promos, PSAs, sponsored spots, sales presentations and videos for on-air, online, social and mobile platforms that support and are consistent with brand standards. Collaborate with producers, editors, designers and clients on each project. Edit on a non-linear system (Sony Xpri and Final Cut Pro). Maintain software, install upgrades and learn new tools. Keep up-to-date archives of all spots produced and searches for archived and new video to be used in spots. Serve as a back-up to other topical producers when needed. Assist production department as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Schedule will include nights, 2pm to 10pm.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum three to five years experience in media production, preferably in a large TV market station with strong branding and local news as the core product. Proven experience with non-linear editing. Sony Xpri and Final Cut Pro experience highly preferred. Excellent writing ability, strong editing skills, adept with grammar, knowledge of branding and eye for consistency; creativity and concept development.; organized, ability to multi-task and follow-through quickly on all assignments.; excellence in execution; ability to communicate with all levels of internal staff and external clients; ability to write, shoot, edit and polish spots and manage multiple projects within deadlines; fast learner; positive attitude; initiative.
