Business Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the general business and financial operations within the station. This position also provides support and works cooperatively with the region on the monthly close, forecast and annual budget processes. Responsibilities include Payroll/Employee Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Expense management and other routine business office activities at the station.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business partner with General Manager and Operational Groups
    • Interpretation and Communication of financial results to the GM and department managers
    • Liaison between station and Region on financial costs associated with day to day operational matters
    • Forecast and Budgeting support for the region
  • Payroll Functions
    • Payroll Input/Processing
    • Vacation/Sick/STD Tracking
    • Prepare Sales Commission calculation and chargebacks
    • Create and track vacation accrual
  • Personnel Administrative Functions
    • New Hire processing to HTV Shared Services
    • Termination processing
    • FMLA administration
    • Dispute resolution
    • Worker’s Comp administration
    • Union negotiations as determined by local station management
  • Local Operating Contracts
  • Fleet Administration
  • Accounts Payable & Expenses
    • Invoice Approver
    • Bundle AP invoices to send to CDS for processing
    • Petty Cash administration
    • P-Cards approval
    • T&E approval
    • Concur Expense approval
  • Asset Management
    • Tagging, Tracking and Disposal
    • Inventory
  • Miscellaneous Billing Functions
  • Remote Bank Deposits

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:

  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
Qualification Requirements:
  • Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting software applications including Infinium/AS400, Wide Orbit and Hyperion Planning a plus.
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish directives
Education:
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred.
