Digital Sales and Ecommerce Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Entercom-Denver is looking for a Digital Sales pro to lead and sell our portfolio of digital assets, create digital sales tools and proposals, and coach our sales team in online assets and manage the people and execution of these each programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a consultative salesperson, you are charged with utilizing our industry-leading brands to creatively solve clients’ marketing challenges; as such, we expect you to be conversant in the latest digital assets such as database, social, streaming audio and video/viral/search/rich media/mobile and SMS marketing technologies, methods and best practices. Familiarity with online metrics and an ability to glean the killer stats from a page full of analytics is key. Prior experience with social, online ad network and SEO experience is a plus, and a solutions-centric, entrepreneurial personality is a must. You should be able to express yourself well in email, in PowerPoint, in Excel and in person. Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Prospecting, brainstorming for and presenting to new and existing brands/agencies in order to exceed digital sales quota
  • Creating cross-media packages, establishing best practices
  • Internal motivation and coaching; training station salespeople and co-pitching target clients/agencies with digital assets
  • Involvement in digital sales execution from soup to nuts, including successful communication with all internal and external stake-holders in the process (sales reps, station web masters, third party ad networks)
  • Serve as online account manager to specific clients to drive innovation and success for integrated programs, and deliver recaps
  • Execute sales reports and valuations for digital
  • Manage digital media inventory
  • Sourcing and filtering- manage ecommerce deals that are approved and source leads to sales team on a weekly basis
  • Lead the sales team on sales calls to secure business into the ecommerce platform
  • Working closely with on air talent, marketing and programming to coordinate all client ecommerce execution
  • Ability to create new ideas to generate revenue
  • Coordination of a corporate e-commerce website as it relates to selling business Development and updating of sales materials for the ecommerce site
  • Proposal development for sales people as well as own clients
  • Gathering and assembling of all materials needed for campaign recaps
  • Proactive management of ecommerce site by merchandising deals and running theme sales
  • Maintain and develop current sales material
  • Work closely with corporate on new iniaitves and present the game plan to the local markets

REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with tangible experience with integrated media experience not limited to but must include marketing/media/internet/ecommerce industries. This person must be able to step in and drive the company’s revenue generation from new and ongoing interactive projects. This includes the ability to conceive and articulate coherent market positioning, craft presentations, derive valuations for integrated on-air/online programs, identify qualified prospects, present digital assets to all levels of business from agencies, to small and local business. This person must have a proven history of presentations on a sales call, handling objectives and closing business.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3-5 years sales or management in traditional media or social media/on line sales/marketing/ecommerce required
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to parse technology into client-friendly language with confidence
  • Deep familiarity with PPT, Excel, Word, the English language
  • Conversant in online advertising, database metrics, search marketing and mobile marketing and social marketing
  • Familiarity with prevailing Internet technologies such as html, streaming media, ad tagging, Flash, podcasting/blogging, RSS, etc. (no coding experience required)
  • Ability to parse and exploit online analytics
  • Negotiation skills
  • A core set of brand/agency contacts in the interactive advertising world is a plus
  • Written precision
  • Ability to sell and lead a team of sales people in the digital space
  • Cold calling with proven success
  • Great attitude
