KTVK- 3TV is accepting applications for the position of News Producer.
Create content for multiple platforms utilizing strong editorial skills. Develop and organize newscasts which includes story development, writing and showcasing news items with accuracy and creativity. Work closely with news managers, assignment editors and associate producers to enterprise and develop content needs. Enhance production qualities of the newscast with graphics, video, research, and station branding. Execute time sensitive decisions. Write clearly for multiple platforms. Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws. Responsible for oversight of live broadcast and up to the minute editorial decisions. Post content to station`s azfamily.com website. Other duties as assigned. Schedule may include early morning, nights and weekends.

Three to five years television news producing experience and journalism degree strongly preferred. Must have excellent broadcast writing skills, proven news judgment and strong decision making skills. KTVK is an aggressive breaking news operation and candidate must be able to make last minute decisions in the control room and communicate to crews in a calm, professional manner. Must be familiar with progressive digital reporting and producing, microwave and satellite live technology. Ability to work well with a team, as well as independently.
