Digital Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Digital Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for working with HTV’s sales team, station management, the corporate office and our clients to develop, sell and deploy successful multi-platform advertising campaigns. We're looking for candidates who can provide thought leadership for our clients, managers and sales representatives and develop strategic advertising solutions by integrating cross platform advertising & sponsorships, market research, and targeted advertising & analytics into a comprehensive story and customer centric advertising solution.

Specifically, you'll work with sales and station management to create advertising Sales grounded in vital local topics. The role requires someone who can think like a marketer, sell like a rep and manage multi-faceted cross-team Saless. We're looking for organized, detail-oriented team players with exceptional written and verbal skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. A positive attitude and professional demeanor is essential along with the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grow station digital ad sales revenue and exceed revenue goals by developing customized campaigns for station clients and making calls with the sales staff to sell these campaigns
  • Increase the number of large station clients buying digital products and programs
  • 3 - 6 Client or agency meetings per week
  • Work closely with the Digital Executive Producer to develop sponsored conted packages
  • Develop and sell customized multiplatform ad packages for important business verticals including health, auto QSR and retail
  • Develop products designed to acquire new customers for the station who have traditionally used newspaper or radio as a primary advertising medium
  • Stay current on third party research relevant to the station website(s); The
  • Interpret and present qualitative and quantitative market research/data to station sales staff and clients
  • Day to day management of digital advertising sales for the television station including forecast management & sales analysis
  • Proactively monitor, analyze and optimize all online advertising performance from creating insertion order to post campaign analysis
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams (sales, production, finance) and external clients on performance and delivery of commitments
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for creative and operations-related issues for all campaigns
  • Expand sales to existing clients, identify prospects, qualify opportunities and follow up on leads
  • Work directly with clients and sales team to provide detailed client service and execute integrated marketing plans
  • Prepare proposals based on customer requests

REQUIREMENTS:
Key Requirements:

  • 4 years digital media sales experience
  • Online advertising trafficking, sales coordinator/planner, or related experience
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Experience with web / Internet technologies (HTML, Flash, JavaScript)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment, manage multiple Saless and tight deadlines
  • Strong focus on teamwork and self-starter
  • Extreme attention to detail and desire to exceed client expectations
Requirements:
  • BA/BS or equivalent
