Our Chief Engineer is retiring May 31, 2013 after a successful six year's of service to KUNM listeners.
KUNM-FM's Chief Engineer manages five transmitters, four translators and a complex studio facility which includes a deluxe digital recording studio, master and production control rooms, automated content storage and retrieval systems and high-end remote broadcast equipment. The successful applicant must be able to work and a collaborative and consultative manner with a large and highly motivated team of broadcasters including seasoned public radio professionals and volunteers mentoring novice students and new volunteers from all walks of life. Some potential for design and installation of new facilities. Full UNM benefits including retirement and tuition remission.
Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties of the job OR successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours in a directly related Technical, Scientific, Mathematics or Engineering field with at least 5 years of directly related experience.
Must be able to drive. Must be able to work at elevations up to 11,500 feet.
