Clear Channel Media + Entertainment is accepting resumes for the position of Account Executive in the Fairbanks, AK market. The closing date for applications is March 29, 2013. Full Time. Account Executives are responsible for prospecting new accounts, creating marketing plans for clients, and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, tenacious and competitive with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position of Account Executive carries the resonsibility of developing marketing plans for clients, signing advertising agreements, collecting money from clients, overseeing account lists, developing integrated media opportunities for clients, and maintaining revenue expectations against goals determined by management. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: The following are examples of typical duties. Other duties may be assigned. Report for work prior to 8am, and work until 5pm, or after 5pm and on weekends if needed. Prospect and meet with clients to introduce Clear Channel Media + Entertainment campaigns and integrated media (including website opportunities) campaigns. Write contracts and perform basic math: addition, percentage calculation, subtraction, etc. Write commercial scripts for clients. Create long term marketing plans involving radio and working within fixed budgets. Create professional proposals in PowerPoint and Word. Create excel spreadsheets for clients outlining budgets and monthly spending. Other duties as assigned.
Experience: High School Degree or higher required; College Degree preferred, and prefers 2 or more years of broadcast experience. Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Valid Alaska Driver's License and car insurance are required with a satisfactory driving record. Professional appearance also required.
