The engineering technician must be able to operate transmitters and server-based play-out systems; set up and adjust studio cameras; check microwave systems; check satellite network feeds; operate server video; maintain logs; and check and log signal parameters
Two years minimum experience.
Two years’ minimum college or trade school.
SBE certification desirable.
Must have a valid driver license.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Operate transmitters; set up and adjust studio cameras; check microwave systems; check satellite network feeds; operate server video; maintain logs; and check and log signal parameters.
Operate audio board in studio control room; record audio carts for news and production.
Operate videotape and non-linear record/playback systems; set up and record satellite feeds, and assist equipment area operator when needed.
Do commercial, promotion, public service recording; Pre-production for News.
Tune in and adjust ENG microwave and satellite receivers for 13 Live.
Drive 13 Live trucks; set up and adjust microwave and satellite transmitters; feed video back from 13 Live; deploy camera and audio cables; maintain equipment in truck.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Operate satellite TVRO systems.
Basic operating skills on Windows-based PCs.
Must be available to work all shifts including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
