Chief Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties:
Completely manager and director engineering operations for two full power TV stations and five radio stations. Monitor, evaluate, manage and provide the hands-on technical expertise to ensure maximum operating efficiency in supporting the strategic initiatives of the TV and radio stations. Manage the building facility functions on an as needed basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Education:
FCC General Class License or equivalent. Four years of college, technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:
Must be a hands-on, actively involvced leader with a proven level of competency in all areas of TV and radio technical engineering, i.e. audio processing, RF technology, station automation, air and production studio design and construction. Must have computer knowledge and operating skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment, be able to plan, be well organized, timely, discreet and detail oriented. Excellent writing and verbal skills a must.

Experience:
Minimum of Five (5) years broadcast engineering experience. Management experience a plus.
