KKFN Executive Producer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan in Denver is looking for an experienced sports talk radio Executive Producer. Duties, responsibilities, and required experience are outlined below:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily Duties:

  • Daily coordination with host(s) for topic development and show planning.
  • Generate & research topics for the show(s).
  • Book appropriate guests.
  • Call screen as needed.
  • Coordinate online and social media efforts for the show(s).
  • Daily audio production pre and post show.
  • Write and record sports updates as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supervise other KKFN full-time producers
  • Supervise and schedule KKFN & KEPN part-time technical directors
  • Oversee KKFN internship program
  • Assist in the development & growth of KKFN’s online & social media intiatives.
  • Assist Program Director as needed and instructed with administrative and station management duties, including, but not limited to:
    1. Training of new technical directors
    2. Schedule imaging
    3. Work with promotions and sales departments for proper execution of client and station events.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of NexGen automation system
  • Imaging and Production skills (Adobe Audition or ProTools)
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of social media
  • Substantial contacts in the sports and sports media industry
  • Experience working with and coaching high-profile talent

Minimum Qualifications:
5 years in sports talk radio with demonstrated experience and success in each of the above listed areas of job requirements.
